This book continues my story, approximately 72 years after the end of Book 4 and follows the highs and lows of the Bernstein family as they struggle to survive in a world that is falling into chaos.      The Bernstein’s aim is to fulfil the promises their ancestors made. One of which is to ensure that some of their descendants join the Starship Acarea. The Acarea is a settler ship, which is scheduled to be launched within the next fourteen years. But, the Acarea has been designed with one end in mind. To take humanity on its first great adventure to the stars, and enable them to seek out a planet fit for colonisation. - Acarea’s target, the star system Procyon.      But there is a network of men and women, who earn vast sums of money by rubbing out influential people. Just to keep other prominent people in power. Some of these influential people can make or break the Acarea Project. This network of killers belongs to an Assassination Guild. But this guild is so uncontrollable that it threatens the setting up of the proposed Earth Federation. Which is being discussed by the UN, EU, USA, China, Russia and many other countries, and is expected to be operational by the year 2146.      Thousands of people, desperate to leave Earth and all its chaos behind, try to book their places on the Acarea Starship. Which adds to the mayhem. And the tragedies and deceits that unfold jeopardise the Acarea StarShip’s launch date of April the 7th, 2109. This, in turn, threatens humanity’s chances of reaching the stars, and of colonising other planets.      Even if the Acarea manages to start her voyage on time. Will she fall apart under the strain as her engine’s nuclear-charges detonate behind her, as they violently push the Acarea forward ever faster? Let alone, the uncertainty of actually reaching the star system Procyon, whose position is changing all the time that the Acarea is travelling towards it.      Will the ship’s hydroponic food production, and water recycling systems be sufficient for the thirty crew members who won’t be in stasis? Will the ongoing attempts at sabotage, and other unforeseen twists and turns, make the Acarea’s quest for the star more dangerous than its crew could ever have imagined?      Is it all too much of a gamble for the human race? If the project fails, then, will this mean the end of their deep space exploration programme? Something is tracking Acarea’s progress. Something that doesn’t want to be seen. Is ‘death’ stalking the Acarea?                                                                        Due for release: Spring 2015
