The StarShip Andromeda's last mission was cut short before they had been able to locate Earth’s first settler ship, the Acarea.
Which had been launched almost two hundred years earlier, before the faster than light barrier was broken by the newly invented
warp-drive. During their search, the Andromeda and its crew had instead come across the Crillons. The Crillons were an alien species,
whose planet orbited the star Kepler more than 600 light years from Earth.
The Crillons had come from their planet via a natural-wormhole, and were an aggressive species hell bent on finding and
destroying all other species in order to protect their own. However, the Crillon’s large fleet was almost decimated after a hair-raising
battle as they clashed with the humans at Zeta Reticuli, some 39 light years from Earth.
At the time, the Humans were unaware that seven of the Crillon’s Fleet Twelve battle-cruisers were absent from the battle at
Reticuli. Now, they have learnt that Fleet Twelve still exists. But the Fleet is presumed to be located elsewhere. With this knowledge,
the humans are forced to disrupt the Crillon’s natural-wormhole. In order to ensure that, if they are even able to, the remnants of Fleet
Twelve cannot travel through it, or be reinforced.
Later, knowing that the Crillons aren’t able to locate Earth, at least for the moment. The Andromeda, with the help of two new
StarShips the Illustrious and Derringer, manage to return home in order to undergo a refit at the Mars spacedocks. But they leave,
knowing that Fleet Twelve is somewhere and is still a threat.
In the meantime, the Space Federation believe that they’ve located the remains of Fleet Twelve, after an extensive warp-exit field
is recorded in the Delta Pavonis star system, 20 light years from Earth. The Federation is sure that the Crillon’s Fleet Twelve are
continuing on their destructive course, which must mean that they have found a way to replenish their warp-drive crystals.
If so, they are more dangerous than ever, since, with their natural-wormhole collapsed they are trapped and cannot return to their
home planet.
The Federation now believes that the Crillons will eventually find Earth. The consequences of which would be dire. Fearing this,
the Federation devote all of their resources to improving and increasing their StarShip fleet. In order to send them back to Delta
Pavonis to find and destroy the remnants of the Crillon’s Fleet Twelve.
On reaching Delta Pavonis however. Things go from bad to worse around DPav4, one of the planets orbiting the Delta Pavonis
star. As Andromeda’s fleet of StarShips engages in a ferocious battle with the Crillon Battle-cruisers. A battle that ends with tragic
consequences.
DPav4 holds the key to the past and a frightening glimpse of the future, putting fear into both Crillon and Earth forces alike.
Will any of them survive?
A brilliant well-constructed continuation of the SpaceFed StarShips Trilogy August 28, 2014. By Robert Clark

A brilliant well-constructed continuation of the SpaceFed StarShips Trilogy. Book 2 is, like the first book, fantastic! The battle with the Crillons at
Delta Pavonis is excellent, with all its twists and revelations, plus Susanna’s surprising role in all of this. The idea of the ‘Skipper Drive’ to bend
space just enough to jump at sub-light speed makes sense. As I said, brilliant. It left me dying to read the next book. Must read the third book. Now!
